AIGA Toledo and the AIGA BGSU Student Group are proud to announce You & Me, the 2nd Annual AIGA Toledo Student Portfolio Review Day! This year's review will be held on Saturday, April 18th in downtown Toledo, Ohio at the mad, mad, mad design office of Madhouse (www.madmadmad.com). Modeled after our very successful inaugural Review Day last year, we have planned an exciting all-day event that begins with a kick-off lecture from Thomas Gilmore (BGSUGD BFA ’92; currently Director of Brand Strategy at RGI, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio), breakout sessions on a variety of design related topics, mock interviewing sessions, a Q & A panel discussion with recent graduates, and of course, plenty of review sessions with the following confirmed professional designers (Tom included!):
We encourage both undergraduate and graduate graphic design students at all levels to participate (recent grads as well!). Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to receive direct, one-on-one feedback on your portfolio of design work. You & Me registration forms and materials have been mailed to regional schools and confirmed reviewers, and are also available in PDF format at the end of this event posting. And while you're at it, why not plan to also attend our Third Annual BGSUGD Alumni Lecture Series with Tom. He will be meeting with Graphic Design student majors on the BGSU campus in the late morning and early afternoon, and concluding the day with a lecture to the public at 6pm in the BGSU Bowen Thompson Union Theater (Rm. 206). The lecture is free and open to the public. The event is proudly sponsored by the BGSU School of Art, the Division of Graphic Design, and the AIGA Toledo Student Chapter. For information regarding either event please contact Matt Davis, Education Chair, AIGA Toledo at education@toledo.aiga.org, or call 419.372.2997.
