We are excited to announce that AIGA Toledo is looking for new Board Members! We have 4 open positions to join the Board of Directors for the roles of Co-President, Co-Communications, Co-Events/Programming, and Treasurer. Applicants do not have to be designers, we value diversity in all of its forms. Our board structure aims to help incoming board members learn the ins and outs of their role by collaborating with an experienced board member.

General Board Member Requirements
Maintain an active AIGA Membership throughout your term
Completion of a full term (3 years)
Have 2+ hours a week dedicated to the position (dependent on time of year)
Attendance at monthly Board Meetings (currently virtual)
Positive representation of AIGA in our community
Attend 80% of AIGA Toledo events (currently virtual)
Open Board Positions:
Co-President — Term: 2021-2024
The Co-President oversees all board activity, leads monthly board meetings, bi-monthly community board meetings and quarterly board retreats, attends monthly national meetings, has quarterly check ins with the Chapter advisory council, prepares annual chapter reports, manages interns, google suite, and slack channel. These responsibilities are shared with the current Co-President who you will have monthly check-ins with independent from monthly board meetings.
Treasurer — Term: 2021-2024
The Treasurer oversees all chapter finances. They are responsible for recording all expenses, coordinating with a professional to file our taxes annually, maintaining our bank account, and balancing our checkbook. This role requires experience in or a willingness to learn quickbooks.
Co-Events Chair — Term: 2021-2024
The Co-Events Chair heads programming ideation, outreach, organization, and management. These responsibilities are shared with our current Co-Events Chair who you will have monthly check-ins with independent from monthly board meetings.
Co-Communications Chair — Term: 2021-2024
The Co-Communications Chair handles all outgoing marketing for the chapter. This includes running our Facebook, Instagram, MailChimp, and website. This role collaborates with our current Co-Communications Chair who is responsible for writing copy and conducting interviews. The two of you will have monthly check-ins independent from monthly board meetings.
Community Board Member — No term limit
The Community Board acts as an extension of the Board of Directors. It consists of volunteers who want to be more involved in the creative community but cannot commit to joining the Board of Directors. Community Board members meet bi-monthly to explore ways that AIGA Toledo can expand programming, and assists with AIGA Toledo programming.
