AIGA Toledo, the BGSU Division of Graphic Design (BGSUGD) and the AIGA BGSU Student Group are proud to announce Proof, the 7th Annual Portfolio Review Day! You’ve worked hard to prove yourself over years. Now is the time to bring proof for evaluation and feedback. Over 20 graphic designers and design professionals from across the Northwest Ohio region will be on hand, ready to review your work.
This year’s student portfolio review sessions will be held Saturday, April 12th at Hanson Inc. in Maumee, Ohio. Modeled after our previous successful Portfolio Review Day’s, we have once again planned an exciting all-day event. Beginning with open registration / check-in starting promptly at 9:00am, a formal review period from 10:00am–3:00pm, with breakout sessions on a variety of design related topics: mock interviews, a Q&A panel discussion with recent graduates, AND a closing lecture at 3pm from our special guest: Joshua Davis, a New York base artist, designer, and technologist producing both public and private work for companies, collectors and institutions. Since 1995, Joshua Davis has been using technology and computers as a medium to create projects that a recent Apple Pro Profile touted as infinitely interesting. (www.joshuadavis.com)
Both undergraduate and graduate graphic design students at all levels are invited to participate in the Review Day (recent graduates as well!). Be sure to visit the AIGA Toledo website at toledo.aiga.org to register online (walk-in’s still welcome), review specific event details, and check out who’s confirmed as a professional reviewers.
