A quick update to all AIGA Toledo members. AIGA Toledo is incredibly fortunate to be aligned with Jeff Kimble of Communica. Jeff’s contributions to AIGA Toledo can’t be overstated, and he has truly outdone himself this time.

AIGA Toledo now has a new, permanent, and beautiful headquarters all it’s own as an extension of the Communica building. Located at 705 monroe st, toledo OH

Our space has a long way to go in terms of filling it with AIGA Goodness, but as it stands it is a gorgeous finished space with two complete restrooms and a kitchen. We are truly fortunate to be a part of this great city, to work with Jeff and Communica, and to receive such an incredible opportunity. AIGA Toledo plans to become an active participant in the monthly Artwalks in downtown Toledo, and we will use this space for many incredible events. Now that we have the opportunity to host our own guests, give lectures, and even set up pop up galleries, the runway for AIGA Toledo and design in our city is growing by miles.

As of tonight, the room is finished and packed with all the gorgeous chairs from the Sit & Tell Project and will allow a viewing of all the chairs in a single place. It’s a beautiful site to behold. Knowing that stories from our neighbors of all backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles across all areas of Toledo have given life to works by creatives from every corner of the city is powerful. AIGA continues to honor it’s commitment to inclusiveness and integrity through design, and we invite you all to come and share in this new home.
